Memories for image combine along a non-definining timeline: the little girl is shoulder-to-shoulder with the woman, the childhood’s pains open in the adulthood’s ones.

The timelessness sensation is crucial in this photographic work, a timelessness which finds definite and delimited spaces.

Living fabric have a spatial recognisability and a time indefinableness. The rooms in the old Neapolitan houses, empty or provided with little things are lived by the photographer like in a shell in which it’s possible to move, to find oneself sheltered by the world. The external reality sometimes appears through au uprooted door, a left-opened window but it is always a stranger who leads to a reality which occurs unpitifully.

The recreated universe of Viviana Rasulo is an original environment, an uterus where the artistic gestation to born again takes place.
